• Light green yarn for the outer part of the avocado
• Dark green yarn for the inner part of the avocado
• Brown yarn for the seed
• Black yarn for the eyes and mouth
• Beige yarn for the arms
• Crochet hook (size appropriate for the chosen yarn)
• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
• Stitch marker

Abbreviations:
• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec: decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
• sl st: slip stitch
Outer Avocado Half (Light Green)
1. Round 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, and work 6 sc into the ring. (6 sts)
2. Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12 sts)
3. Round 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18 sts)
4. Round 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24 sts)
5. Round 5: 3 sc, inc around. (30 sts)
6. Round 6:4 sc, inc around. (36 sts)
7. Rounds 7-14: Sc in each stitch around. (36 sts)
8. Round 15: 4 sc, dec around. (30 sts)
9. Round 16: 3 sc, dec around. (24 sts)
10. Round 17: 2 sc, dec around. (18 sts)
11. Round 18: 1 sc, dec around. (12 sts)
12. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Inner Avocado Half (Dark Green)

Seed (Brown)

4. Rounds 4-5: Sc in each stitch around. (18 sts)
5. Round 6: 1 sc, dec around. (12 sts)
6. Round 7: Dec around. (6 sts)
7. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the seed lightly before closing.
Arms (Beige)
1. Round 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, and work 6 sc into the ring. (6 sts)
2. Round 2-5: sc in each stitch around. (6 sts)
3. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make 2 arms.
Assembly
1. Sew the seed onto the center of the dark green inner half.
2. Sew the dark green inner half to the light outer half, stuffing as you go.
3. Sew the arms to the sides of the avocado.
4. Using black yarn, embroider the eyes and mouth.
