AMIGURUMI DOUG FUNNIE DOLL CROCHET FREE PATTERN
Arms (2)
Start with skin color (7563)
1) – 6sc in magic ring [6]
2) (1sc, 1 inc) x 6 [9]
3-25) 9sc [9] (23 rows)
Sleeves (2)
Start with white color (8001)
1) – 6sc in magic ring [6]
2) – 6inc [12]
3) – 12sc [12]
4) (1sc, 1inc)x6 [18]
5) 18sc [18] (8 rows)
Sew the arms inside the sleeves. The arms should be on hold. They will be sewn to the body, one row before the BLO and close to the neck.
Shoes (2)
Start with white color (8001)
1) – 9ch, 1inc, 6sc, 4sc together, 7sc [19]
2) 2inc, 6sc, 4inc, 6sc, 1inc [26]
3) (1sc, 1inc) x 2, 6sc, (1sc, 1inc) x 4, 7sc, 1inc [33]
4) 33sc m BLO [33]
5) – 13sc, (1inc, 1sc) x 2, 2sc, (1inc, 1sc) x 2, 10sc [37]
Make some extra stitches so that the beginning of the row is centered on the back of the shoe. I needed to make 2 extra sc to center it. Now we will make some color changes! The bold stitches should be made in red, the others in white! Changing the yarn to red, we start row 6:
6) – 9sc in BLO, picking up both loops of the stitch: 1sc, 8dec, 1sc, 10sc in BLO [29]
7) – 9sc, 1sc, (1sc, 1dec)x3, 10sc [26]
8) 4sc, 1dec, 3sc, 3dec, 1sc, 10sc [22]
9) – 1sc, 1dec, 5sc, 4sc in BLO, 3dec, 4sc [18]
10) – 18sc [18]
You can insert some material so that the soles of the shoe are straight. Now we go back to white and we will no longer use the red yarn.
11) BLO: 18sc [18]
12) (7sc, 1dec)x2 [16]
13-14) 16 sc [16] (2 rows)
15) – FLO: 2ch, 16dc, 1slst in the 1st dc [16]
These double crochets will be folded down, to make the hem of the sock.
You can take the opportunity to do the embroidery in black Cléa thread, as shown in the image.
Legs (2)
We will start the legs by attaching the yarn to the back loops that
were left on row 15 of the shoes.
Start with the skin color (7563)
1) 16sc in BLO [16]
2) (6sc, 1dec)x2 [14]
You will have two options for knitting the legs:
Option 1: the shorts are crocheted together with the body.
Option 2: the shorts are crocheted separately.
Pay attention to crochet the option of your choice correctly!
Legs (option 1)
3-8) – 14sc [14] (6 rows)
Change to brown (7625)
9) BLO: 14sc [14]
10-17) – 14sc [14] (8 rows)
On the first leg: make sl st and fasten off.
Make sc in the loops left over from row 7.
On the second leg: continue to the body.
Legs (option 2)
3-18)- 14 sc [14] (16 rows)
On the first leg make sl st and fasten off.
On the second leg continue to the body.
Body
Continuing from the second leg, make a few stitches to reach the middle of the inside of the leg. I needed to make 5 sc.
Continue:
1)- 2 ch, 14 sc in the first leg, 2 sc in the chains, 14 sc in the second leg, 2 sc in the chains [32]
2-6)- 32 sc [32] (5 rows)
Change to pitache green color (5800):
7)- 32 sc [32]
8)- 32 sc in BLO [32]
9)- (14 sc, 1 dec)x2 [30]
10-12)- 30 sc [30] (3 rows)
13)- (3 sc, 1 dec)x6 [24]
14-19)- 24 sc [24] (6 rows)
20)- (2 sc, 1 dec)x6 [18]
21)- (4 sc, 1 dec)x3 [15]
22)- 15 sc [15]
In the second row we will change to the skin color (7563)
and make Doug’s head.
Note: In the loops left over from row 8, make two rows of 32 sc in BLO.
Head
1) BLO: 15sc [15]
2) – 15sc [15]
3)-15inc [30]
4) (4sc, 1inc)x6 [36]
5) (5sc, 1inc)x6 [42]
6) (6sc, 1inc)x6 [48]
7-21)- 48sc [48] (15 rows)
Place the eyes between rows 15 and 16, 9sc apart.
22) (1sc, 1dec)x16 [32]
23) (1sc, 1dec)x10, 2sc [22]
24) (1sc, 1dec)x7, 1sc [15]
25) (1sc, 1dec)x5 [10]
Fasten off with a reverse magic ring.
Nose
Work in skin color (7563)
1) – 6sc in magic ring [6]
2) – 6inc [12]
3) (1sc, 1inc)x6 [18]
4-6) 18sc [18] (3 rows)
Sew between rows 9 to 13, counting from the neck.
Ears
1) – 6sc in magic ring [6]
Fasten off and sew between rows 11 and 13 of the head.
Short
To make Doug’s shorts, we will crochet a rectangle.
Use the brown color (7625):
1) – 33ch, 32sc, turn [32]
2) 3ch, 32dc, turn [32]
3) 3ch, (1dc, 1inc)x16, turn [48]
4-7) – 48dc [48] (4 rows)
Leave a long tail for sewing!
The piece will be in the format shown in the image above.
We put it on Doug and sewed the two sides together at the back, like a skirt.
Then we make some stitches in the middle, so that it becomes a pair of shorts!
Details
Hair:
• Make approximately 27 strands of black hair measuring 6 cm and secure around row 22, 6 rows above the eyes.
• Then place some random strands in the middle. Cut a little and leave it very straight.
• To secure the strands to the head, make a ring as in the image below (left) and pass the two ends of the thread through this ring (right), pulling to tie the knot.
• Embroider the eyebrows 1 row above the eyes, taking 3 rows and going up one.
• Embroider the mouth on the 6th row, counting from the necks, up to the 8th row, 4 stitches apart.
• The eyes were embroidered with white and black thread, as per the reference images below.
Congratulations, your amigurumi doll is complete!
