HOW TO CROCHET A CAR KEYCHAIN AMIGURUMI FREE PATTERN

Body

Start with main color yarn. Ch 6. Work in rows, starting in the 2nd ch from hook:
Rnd 1–5: 5 sc, ch 1, turn
Rnd 6: 5 sc
Work around the rectangle:
Rnd 7: 6 sc along first side, 5 sc along second side, 6 sc along third side, 5 sc along fourth side (22)
On the last stitch, change yarn to window color. Continue in rounds.

Rnd 8: inc, 5 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 4 sc (26)
Rnd 9: 26 sc
Rnd 10: inc, 7 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 7 sc, inc, 4 sc (30)
If you want a taller car, add one more round of 30 sc.
Make 1–2 offset stitches to reach the corner. Change back to main color.
Rnd 11: (3 sc in one st), 7 sc, (3 sc in one st), 6 sc, (3 sc in one st), 7 sc, (3 sc in one st), 6 sc (38)
Work 1 sc, ch 1, turn.
Rnd 12–14: 8 sc, ch 1, turn

Work around the car:
Rnd 15: 8 sc (front), 3 sc (side), 30 sc around body, 3 sc (side) (44)
Continue in rounds:
Rnd 16–18: 44 sc

Sl st, fasten off, cut yarn, hide tail.

Bottom

Using main color yarn. Ch 7. Work in rows, starting in 2nd ch from hook:
Rnd 1–14: 6 sc, ch, turn
Work around the rectangle:
Rnd 15: 6 sc, inc, 12 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 12 sc, inc (44)
Sl st, fasten off, cut yarn.

Assembly

Glue a small piece of cardboard inside the bottom if needed.
Stuff the body.
Join body and bottom with slip stitches
(or sew them together stitch-to-stitch).

Embroider:
– Windows and doors with main color
– Front headlights with white thread
– Front grille with black thread
– Rear headlights with orange thread
Sew buttons as wheels.
