• Traditional amigurumi yarn in the colors neomint (5743), candy lilac (6006) and cream (1112)
• Leftover white yarn
• Cléa yarn or skein in black
• 2.2mm crochet hook or whatever you are used to
• Eyes with safety lock no. 9
• Fine tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Galvanized wire no. 20
• Pliers

AMIGURUMI SEAHORSE FREE PATTERN
Head and Body:
With mint green yarn do:
1– 4 sc in MR
2– (1 inc, 1 sc) x 2 [6 sc]
3-17– 6 sc [15 rows]
18– 6 inc [12 sc]
19– 12 sc
20– (1 sc, 1 inc) x 6 [18 sc]
21– 1 sc, 1 inc, (2 sc, 1 inc) x 5, 1 sc [24 sc]
22-24– 24 sc [3 rows]
25– 12 sc, (1 inc, 1 sc) x 6 [30 sc]
26-29 – 30 sc [4 rows]
Cut a small piece of galvanized wire, the size of the tail (rows 1-17), with the pliers, fold the ends and cover with masking tape.
Insert into Finn, and shape the tail.
30– (3 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [24 sc]
31– 1 sc, 1 dec. (2 sc, 1 dec) x 5, 1 sc [18 sc]
32– (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6 [12 sc]
33– 12 sc
Stuff the body, being careful not to open the stitches.
34– 12 inc [24 sc]
35– 1 sc, 1 inc, (2 sc, 1 inc) x 7, 1 sc [32 sc]
36– (3 sc, 1 inc) x 8 [40 sc]
37 to 45– 40 sc [9 rows]
Place the eyes between rows 41 and 42, 8 stitches apart.
Little by little, add stuffing as you work.
46– (3 sc, 1 dec) x 8 – 32 sc
47– 1 sc, 1 dec, (2 sc, 1 dec) x 7, 1 sc [24 sc]
48– (1 sc, 1 dec) x 8 [16 sc]
49– 8 dec [8 sc]
Close with a reverse magic ring.
Make the expression on the face, and embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows.
Snout:
With mint green yarn, do:
1– 8 sc in the MR
2– (1 sc, 1 inc) x 4 [12 sc]
3– 12 sc
4– 3 sc, 3 dec, 3 sc [9 sc]
5– 3 sc, 3 sl st, 3 sc [9 sc]
6 and 7-9 sc
Fasten with false sc and cut the yarn, leaving a long yarn for sewing.
We will not put stuffing in the snout.
From inside it, pass a yarn to the outside, and return with it to the inside, pulling well, to sink. Tie a knot and hide the excess on the inside.
Sew the snout between the eyes, between rows 42 and 44
Belly:
With the light yellow yarn, make 4 ch. We will work in linear crochet.
1– From the 2nd ch, go back with 3 sc, make a ch and turn [3 sc]
2– 1 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc, make a ch and turn [5 sc]
3– 1 inc, 3 sc, 1 inc, make a ch and turn [7 sc]
4 to 6– 7 sc, make a ch and turn
7– skip the 1st sc, 2 sc, 1 dec, make a ch and turn [5 sc]
8– skip the 1st sc, 1 sc, 1 dec [3 sc]
9– 3 sc. 3 sl st, 3 sc [9 sc]
Outline the entire tummy with sc’s, fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew to the front of Finn’s body.
Head Fin:
With the candy lilac yarn, make 21 chains, leaving a long yarn before starting.
1– From the 2nd, make 1 sc in each chain [20 sc]
2– Turn the work, go up 2 ch and in the same stitch make 4 more dc. Skip 1 stitch, make 1 sl st, skip 1 stitch and make 5 dc in the same stitch. Continue with this sequence until the end.
Before finishing the last stitch, change the color to cream.
3– Go up a ch, and on top of each dc make (1 sc, 1 ch), and on top of each sl st make 1 sl st.
Fasten off, cut the yarn and hide them inside the work (both the yellow and the lilac, when you changed the color).
Position with pins on top of Finn’s head, right in the center, until the beginning of the neck.
With the long yarn that we left at the beginning, sew.
