You can learn how to crochet these elephant using the free amigurumi pattern. This sweet crochet elephant is made from sport yarn. If you use the same yarn, the elephant will be about 15-16 cm tall.   • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Black thread to embroider the face
  • Stuffing (Polyester fiber fill)

Abbreviations:

R = row
ch = chain
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
BLO = back loop only
( ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( )*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

AMIGURUMI ELEPHANT FREE PATTERN

Arms (make 2)
Crochet with the grey yarn:
Stuff only ⅔ of the arm.
R 1: 8 sc into a magic ring (8)
R 2: (inc)*8 (16)
R 3: BLO 16 sc

R 4-5: 16 sc (2 rows)
R 6: (6 sc, dec)*2 (14)
R 7-9: 14 sc (3 rows)
R 10: (5 sc, dec)*2 (12)
R 11-13: 12 sc (3 rows)
R 14: (4 sc, dec)*2 (10)
R 15-16: 10 sc (2 rows)
Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew the arms to the body between rows 16-17.

Legs (make 2)
Crochet with the grey yarn:
Stuff as you go.
R 1: 7 sc into a magic ring (7)

For the left leg: Fasten off and cut the yarn.
