This is a beginner-friendly amigurumi pattern made with basic stitches and simple construction. It works well as a quick crochet project you can finish at a relaxed pace. Crochet 2 sc through both layers.
Leave a long tail for sewing.

Side Fins (make 2)
Attach yarn at round 16, slightly below the eye.
Ch 4, turn.
Starting in the 2nd ch from hook:
1 sc, 2 hdc
Attach with sl st to the next stitch (not the same stitch).
Fasten off and hide the yarn.

Assembly
Sew tail fins to the tail from the center.
Embroider eyelids: first the upper line, then the lower line with a few stitches.
Do not overdo it.
Your whale is finished. You can decorate it with small embroidery details if desired.
