This is an intermediate amigurumi pattern using simple stitches with shaping details. Using a 2.25 mm hook, the finished axolotl measures approximately 5.12 inches (13 cm) tall, making it a fun small crochet project for aquatic animal lovers. 2.00mm crochet hook.
7.00mm black safety eyes.
Tapestry needle, scissors, stuffing material, pins.
Embroidery floss: black, pink.

CREATE AN ADORABLE AXOLOTL AMIGURUMI STEP BY STEP
Right gill
7ch, turn and skip 1, 2 slst, 4 sc,
8ch, turn and skip 1, 3 slst, 4sc,
8ch, turn and skip 1, 3 slst, 4 sc.
Using a new yarn, crochet all the way around starting with the gill of 7 chains: (1slst, 1ch)x5, (1slst,3ch)x6: (1slst, 1ch)x6, (1slst, 3ch)x7, (1slst,1ch)x6, (1slst,3ch)x7.
Fasten off and sew to the head between rows 5-12.
