Antennae (Make 2)

Using 1.5 mm hook and black yarn:
Leave a long tail at the beginning.
Ch 7.
Starting in the second chain from the hook:
R1: sc in next 5 chains
Leave a long tail for sewing.

Hair

Using black yarn:
Sew the hair across approximately 14 stitches between R5 and R6.
In the sample, each strand was sewn twice, but thicker yarn may also be used.

Assembly

– Position the hat to cover the starting point of the hair strands and sew it onto the head.
– Sew the antennae between R7 and R8 of the hat. Sew through the head for extra stability.
– Sew 2 wings on each side of the body, beginning from the second body round. Attach through the last stitches of the wings for a firmer hold.
– Apply blush to the cheeks if desired.
